Cubo, Anything but Square

Cubo, Anything but Square

At first glance, or should I say at first sniff, I’m eager to get this thing lit. The rich, dark Mexican San Andreas wrapper gives that appeal that has you salivating and reaching for the lighter. Interesting to note, before lighting I got a hint of sweet off the tip which sparks my curiosity. Going into the first third, smooth chocolate and cedar are my initial thoughts with some slight citrus on the retrohale. Heading into the mid section, I find myself waiting for the spice that is usually present in the San Andreas wrapper but to no avail. The spice is pleasantly muted by the mildly sweet chocolate and citrus notes. Rounding 3rd into the home stretch, chocolate continues to dominate the palate while the citrus slows down on the retrohale. All in all, an enjoyable smoke and a great addition to the everyday grind of this great sport of Cigar smoking. Grab a few and put a couple on “ice” as a little time could do some good work of rounding this one out. The Cubo Maduro smokes on the fuller side of medium with very little touch up work. I’d slide this in as a mid morning snack or for the accomplished smoker add a cup of Joe and sit back relax and enjoy! Looking for a tasty treat? Grab a hold of this semi-sweet chocolate and light citrus stick. Better yet grab some cold brew and a lighter add a Cubo Maduro and enjoy the 80 minute joyride…..
