A limited-edition Crowned Heads cigar from the past is alive and kicking. Crowned Heads, known for its Headley Grange, Four Kicks and La Imperiosa cigar brands, is bringing back Mule Kick, a limited-edition cigar that debuted in 2012 and returned for a second run in 2017. Mule Kick LE 2018 will ship in one size measuring 5 7/8 inches by 52 ring gauge, with a retail price of $10.95 per cigar. It’s rolled with a Connecticut Habano wrapper with binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua. The original Mule Kick was intended to be a stronger version of the company’s Four Kicks line, made with a modified filler blend and a darker Ecuadoran Habano cover leaf. Mule Kick LE 2018 aims to improve upon the original Mule Kick blend.
“We could have easily re-released the original Mule Kick blend again. However, we wanted to take it to another level,” Huber said. “When we added the Connecticut Habano wrapper to the blend, we collectively agreed that it just truly added another dimension of structure, flavor and intensity that surpassed the original release.”
Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2018 will ship in 10-count wooden boxes, and only 3,000 boxes will be released. The cigars are rolled at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic.
